Summit playgrounds, children's activities and natural spectacles in the region

Up the mountain and into family fun! Children will certainly never be bored with us, because you and your family will find a huge selection of exciting offers in Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn: playgrounds, slackline courses, Timoks Coaster, the mountain of the senses and numerous themed hiking trails.

Leogang

The mountain of the senses delights visitors young and old at the Leoganger Asitz. In the sense of the park at the Asitzbahn middle station, over 30 stations can be explored and tried out. The scented tree, giant tongue, rope loop path, suspension bridge and much more invite you to consciously see, hear, smell, touch and taste.

You can experience a special moment of relaxation with your loved ones around the reservoir in the new “Stille Wasser am Asitz” area with a floating platform, a Kneipp area, numerous water elements and comfortable loungers.

Particularly popular in the summer heat: Leo’s water world with a walk-in waterfall, water Kneipp pool and integrated barefoot path. Here your little ones can splash around as much as they want.

The “LeoKlang” summer toboggan run directly at the Asitzbahn mountain station ensures fun and special sound experiences for all visitors.

The slightly older children can enjoy an unforgettable flying experience in the middle of the breathtaking Leogang mountains. On the 1,600 meter long Flying Fox XXL is well secured and goes down into the valley on the steel cable slide at a top speed of 130 km/h.

Mountain bikers find happiness on two wheels in the Leogang Bike Park. The Riders Playground at the valley station is Europe's largest beginner's bike park and serves as a training area for the first experiences on the bike - a "playground" for young and old.

At the Asitzbahn middle station in Leogang you can find valuable information about the little flowering companions on the herb and alpine plant trail. Around 170 herbs and alpine plants are presented in the lovingly designed area on the mountain of the senses. If you are also interested in medical, homeopathic and folk healing effects, there are explanations on display boards and in the free medicinal herb folder available on site.

Fieberbrunn

Daring action fans are in the right place at Timoks Alm at the Streuboden middle station in Fieberbrunn. While the cool “Timoks Alpine Coaster” takes you downhill quickly over the “Kaiserwelle”, “Giant Snake” and “360° Carousel”, balance and concentration are required in Timok’s forest ropes course. Timok's climbing park and the fallow deer enclosure are also waiting to be discovered by your family.

New from summer 2019: Timok's low water area. A museum on the mountain? Sure! In the Wildalm area there is the digital circular hiking trail “Museum goes Wild” - which was developed in collaboration with the Tyrolean state museums. Equipped with a smartphone and your own app, you can find out interesting and surprising facts about the flora, fauna and geology around the Wildseeloder at ten stations on Europe's first digital circular hiking trail. Perfect for combining hiking with the family and learning new and interesting things.

For anyone who wants to reach high, the Himmel & Henne panoramic via ferrata offers the perfect opportunity to do so. The via ferrata is a simple, scenic fixed rope route to the summit of the “Henne”. There are four routes available on this via ferrata with levels of difficulty A - D - for families with children, the panoramic route (A/B) over the ridge is a good introduction to via ferrata.

Saalbach Hinterglemm

Whether exciting experiences with the goblin Kodok at “Berg Kodok” or the “Expedition Kodok” on the Reiterkogel in Hinterglemm – hiking is everything but boring. A hike in the footsteps of the clown Montelino on “Montelino’s Adventure Trail”, “Montelino’s Wild Feeding” and “Montelino’s Water Place” at Kohlmais in Saalbach will certainly remain in your and your loved ones’ memories forever.

The adventurous playground at the summit of the Schattberg and the beginner-friendly “Monti Line” bike route on Kohlmais make children’s eyes light up.

Children's celebrations on the mountain, such as the "Kodok Children's Festival on the Reiterkogel", the "Montelino Children's Festival on the Kohlmais" and the popular family hikes between the Kohlmais in Saalbach and the Asitz in Leogang are a real highlight for families.

The Teufelswasser extends a few meters after the popular Lindlingalm. The mountain summer in Saalbach Hinterglemm has now gained another attraction. The “magical” world of the valley end-Teufelswasser is a spacious theme park that leads past many play and wellness stations related to the element of water. There is a Kneipp pool as well as a fish pond, forest playhouse, mill wheel, rock pool, cave path, alpine herb path as well as stone dragon area, fairies and dwarf kingdom and dancing forest spirits. The corresponding rest areas were also taken into account in the planning.

The highest treetop hiking trail in Europe is located at the end of the Saalbach Hinterglemm valley. In combination with the “Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps”, the excursion destination represents a project that is unique in the world. The 600 m long walkway is the scenic center point of the Baumspitzeweg. A massive larch wood structure – up to 30m above the forest floor – with stairs, towers, platforms and bridges.

Salt worlds Hallein

On the trail of “white gold” to the roots of Salzburg.

Salt used to be called “white gold”: And in fact, the deposits in the Dürrnberg near Hallein, which were created millions of years ago, form the treasury of the Salzburg region. The Celts mined this precious gift from the mountain around 2,500 years ago, as the impressive traces they left behind prove.
