Golden Gate & Tree top path

The highest treetop hiking trail in Europe is located at the end of the Saalbach Hinterglemm valley. In combination with the “Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps”, the excursion destination represents a project that is unique in the world. The natural circular route begins at the end of the valley car park and leads over two kilometers through alpine pastures, meadows and forests. The one kilometer long tree top path starts at the Lindlingalm with the 200 m long “Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps”. The return route (two kilometers each) can be covered in winter through the wonderful winter landscape either on foot or by horse-drawn sleigh.

Cross-country skiing

If you are looking for sporty alternatives to the slopes, you will find a small but excellent range of cross-country ski trails in Saalbach Hinterglemm. The valley-end high-altitude trail, which leads far away from the hustle and bustle along the Saalach to the Lindlingalm, is particularly scenic. If you like doing fast skating laps, the high-altitude trail on the Reiterkogel is just the thing for you. The use of all cross-country ski trails is free of charge.
